India: Girls to outnumber boys at CSJMU exam

KANPUR: 55% female students are going to appear at the annual examinations of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University (CSJMU) beginning from February 26, this year. Like Lucknow University annual examinations which have been advanced by a week and also will be held on Sundays to ensure that they are over before the general polls, Kanpur University has also declared its scheme for the examinations.

This is the first time the girls outnumber boys in the Varsity examinations. As many as 10.5 Lakh examinees will appear at 1100 centres set up for the examinations. Beginning from B.A. examinations it will conclude with B.Com. & B.Sc. examination schedules.

It will be worth noting that degree colleges of 11 districts like Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Auraiya, Etawah, Kannauj, Unnao, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Lakhimpur Khiri, Rai Barelli and Sitapur have been associated with this Kanpur University.     

There are a total of 1100 self-finance degree colleges connected with the University. Besides, 21 government degree colleges are also attached to the university. As many as 52 aided degrees colleges are also associated.

It has been ascertained that the colleges having a room with two CCTVs and voice recorder facilities will be cleared as the examination centres.

As many as 12 flying squads will check copying. Prof Nilima Gupta VC said that strict arrangements were being made to put a check on copying. 

Teachers from aided. Self-finance, and university will be included into the flying squads.
