Israel destroys 'weapons lab' in West Bank, locals say it was a meeting room

16 August 2023; MEMO: Israel today claimed that occupation forces targeted and destroyed a weapons laboratory and explosives warehouse belonging to the Palestinian Fatah movement.

The site, in the Palestinian refugee camp of Balata in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, was destroyed by Israel’s army and Border Police using explosives last night.

The Palestinians who investigated the blast site claimed that the location was only used as a centre by Fatah.

Two More Palestinians Killed In Clashes With Israeli Soldiers In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Aug 15 (NNN-WAFA) – Two more Palestinians, including a teenager, were killed today, during clashes with Israeli soldiers in Aqabat Jabar refugee camp, close to the West Bank city of Jericho.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that, Qusai Al-Walaji, 16, and Mohammad Najoum, 25, died after Israeli soldiers shot them during clashes in the refugee camp.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that, two other Palestinians were injured during the clashes and were sent to a local hospital.

Palestinians Condemn Israeli Killings In West Bank

RAMALLAH, Aug 8 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinians condemned yesterday, the killings of Palestinians by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the West Bank.

At least four Palestinians were killed within the last 24 hours, including a Palestinian teenager, who succumbed to the wounds inflicted by an Israeli guard in the West Bank last week, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

Palestinian PM calls on U.S. Congress to abolish "hostile" laws targeting Palestine

RAMALLAH, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye on Monday called on the U.S. Congress to abolish "hostile" laws and regulations targeting the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and to recognize the Palestinian state.

Speaking to a delegation of 22 U.S. Congress members at his office in the West Bank city of Ramallah, Ishtaye also called for amendments to laws and regulations that link the PLO to "terrorism."

RAMALLAH, Aug 6 (NNN-WAFA) – A Palestinian official, yesterday, called on the international community, to list the far-right Israeli party, Otzma Yehudit, headed by Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, as a terror group.

Ben-Gvir’s “party has a … history of inciting the killing of Palestinians,” said Hussein Al-Sheikh, secretary general of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, after a member of Ben-Gvir’s party, Friday night, shot and killed a Palestinian in the village of Burqa near Ramallah.

Palestine: Jewish settlers kill Palestinian teen in West Bank

05 August 2023; MEMO: A 19-year-old Palestinian was killed in a raid by Jewish settlers on the village of Burqa, Palestinian state news agency WAFA reported Friday.

The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that Qusai Jamal Maatan was shot dead by settlers who stormed the village, which is located east of Ramallah, Anadolu reports.

He was killed during a clash between the settlers and Palestinian villagers.

Two More Palestinians Killed In Clashes With Israeli Settlers, Soldiers In West Bank: Health Ministry

RAMALLAH, Aug 5 (NNN-WAFA) – Two more Palestinians were killed yesterday, during clashes with Israeli settlers and soldiers, in two separate incidents in the West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said.

Qusai Ma’tan, 19, died after he was shot by Israeli settlers, during clashes in the village of Burqa, north-west of Nablus, while two other Palestinians were moderately injured, the ministry said.

Palestinian eyewitnesses said, clashes broke out in Burqa between dozens of Palestinians and Israeli settlers, who stormed the village.

Palestinian Authorities Disappointed With U.S. Failure To Keep Promises: FM

RAMALLAH, Aug 4 (NNN-WAFA) – The Palestinian leadership is “disappointed with the U.S. administration of President Joe Biden, for its failure to keep its promises it pledged to the Palestinians,” Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad Al-Maliki said, yesterday.

The U.S. administration “has failed to fulfill its promises, to back down from the decision of former U.S. President Donald Trump, who violated the U.S. policy and recognised Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the State of Israel,” said Al-Maliki.
