Israel settlers storm Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem

21 July 2023; MEMO: Two Israeli settlers stormed the Orthodox Church complex in the Mount Zion area of occupied Jerusalem, laid blankets on the ground and announced that they would remain there.

A video shared on TikTok yesterday morning showed the two settlers sitting on the church grounds as they spread items they brought with them.

Palestine: PA welcomes Portugal Parliament decision to recognise Palestine Nakba

22 July 2023; MEMO: The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Friday welcomed the decision of the Portuguese Parliament to recognise the 1948 Palestinian Nakba, a statement announced.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued the statement: "The PA welcomed the Portuguese Parliament's decision to recognise the Nakba that happened to the Palestinians in 1948, as well as its expression of solidarity with the Palestinian people."

Palestine: Israeli official asks priest to hide crucifix in occupied Jerusalem

20 July 2023; MEMO: An official at occupied Jerusalem's Western Wall asked a German Christian priest on Wednesday to hide his crucifix during a visit to the site, the Times of Israel has reported. Nikodemus Schnabel was accompanying Germany's Federal Education Minister at the time.

A reporter for German news outlet Der Spiegel filmed the incident and posted it on social media with an explanation of what happened.

PA calls on Palestinians to file complaints against Israeli crimes via ICC online system

20 July 2023; MEMO: Palestinian Authority (PA) called on Palestinian people, groups and individuals, to file complaints against Israeli crimes via the ICC's online platform.

Speaking to Voice of Palestine, Minister of Justice Mohammad Shalaldeh said that the ICC is to launch an online platform to let people file their complaints against Israeli crimes.

He said that this online gateway is to gather documentation of Israeli crimes.

Palestine: 3 illegal Israeli settlers injured in drive-by shooting in occupied West Bank

16 July 2023; MEMO: Three Israeli settlers were injured in a drive-by shooting on Sunday in the occupied West Bank, according to the military, reports Anadolu Agency.

In a statement, the army said the settlers' car came under fire from a vehicle close to the Tekoa Israeli military post, near Bethlehem city.

One Israeli was in serious condition, while the other two were lightly injured in the attack, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.

Palestinian Bedouin community relocate after Israeli settlers set tent on fire

13 July 2023; MEMO: The Palestinian Bedouin community of Humsa Al-Bqai'a have been forced to relocate after Israeli settlers set fire to a tent on Monday with two people still inside, Wafa has reported.

The community of 36 Palestinians, including 20 children, is based in the north of the occupied Jordan Valley. They have attempted to resist the settlers ever since the Israeli Jews stormed into the village and built an illegal settlement outpost last month.

Israel detains chief guard of Al-Aqsa from his home in Jerusalem

13 July 2023; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces yesterday stormed the house of Sheikh Najeh Bkeerat, chief guard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and detained him, Quds Press reported.

Bkeerat's house is located in Sur Baher, south of the occupied holy city of Jerusalem.

On 20 June, the Israeli occupation authorities ordered Bkeerat not to go to Al-Aqsa, giving him 72 hours to implement it.
