Israel army drone crashes in northern West Bank

15 May 2023; MEMO: The Israeli army, on Monday, said a small surveillance drone crashed while operating over the Tulkarem refugee camp, northern Occupied West Bank, Anadolu News Agency reports.

In a statement, the Israeli army said the crashed drone was collected and there was no fear of information leakage after the crash.

It identified the drone type as "sky rider", a tactical surveillance drone, and that the incident is being investigated.

Israeli forces shoot, kill Palestinian man in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian officials say

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man in the occupied West Bank on Monday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said, the latest death in a spiral of violence that has rocked the region.

The Health Ministry said 22-year-old Saleh Sabra was killed after being shot in the chest in the flashpoint West Bank city of Nablus, a frequent site of Israeli operations.

Palestinians and Israelis resume normal life after Gaza truce

13 May 2023; MEMO: Head of Hamas Political Bureau Ismail Haniyeh discussed the ongoing Israeli offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip with Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Friday.

This came in a telephone call made by Ami-Abdollahian to Haniyeh through which the former conveyed the solidarity of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi with the Palestinian people and resistance.

Palestine: IJ says it bombed Israeli cities in response to assassinations

12 May 2023; MEMO: The Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in the Gaza Strip announced, on Thursday, that it had fired barrages of rockets into Israel in response to the assassinations of its leaders, Anadolu news agency reported.

"The joint operations room of the Palestinian resistance factions, the Al-Quds Brigades and the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, have bombed the [Israeli] cities of Ashdod and Ashkelon…. in response to the assassinations and the [Israeli] aggression" the Al-Quds Brigades, the movement's armed wing, said in a brief statement.

Palestinians warn that only power station in Gaza will stop operating within 72 hours

13 May 2023; MEMO: On Friday, a Palestinian government official in Gaza warned that the only power plant would stop working within 72 hours, as fuel quantities are running out, given the continued closure of the Karam Abu Salem crossing (south)

This came during a press conference held by the head of the government media office (run by Hamas), Salama Maarouf, at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.
