Palestine Jihad Movement targets Israel military gathering

13 May 2023; MEMO: The Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said Friday that Palestinian factions targeted an Israeli military gathering with "heavy-calibre shells", Anadolu News Agency reports.

"The Palestinian Resistance declares its responsibility for targeting gatherings of enemy vehicles and soldiers with heavy calibre shells, and confirms direct hits," the Al-Quds Brigades said in a statement.

There were no further details regarding the location or timing of the attacks.

Palestinian militants fire more rockets, Israeli airstrikes hit Gaza despite cease-fire efforts

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — The most violent confrontation in months between Israel and Palestinian militants continued for a third straight day on Friday, as Israeli warplanes struck targets in the Gaza Strip and militants fired rockets toward Jerusalem and southern Israel.

There were no immediate reports of casualties on either side Friday, as foreign mediators pressed ahead with efforts to reach a cease-fire. The past few days of fighting have killed 31 Palestinians in Gaza and a 70-year-old man in central Israel.

Palestine: Israeli unmanned suicide drones kill senior Islamic Jihad militant in southern Gaza

GAZA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of a militant group in Gaza was killed early on Thursday when the Israeli army's unmanned suicide drones attacked his apartment in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.

Palestinian security officials confirmed that Ali Hassan Ghali, a military council member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), was killed after two Israeli suicide drones attacked his apartment in a building north of the city.

Palestinians fire rockets into Israel amid Gaza tension

10 May 2023; MEMO: Palestinian factions fired barrages of rockets into Israel on Wednesday, amid tension following Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, Anadolu News Agency reports.

In a statement, the factions said that the rocket fire was in response to the "assassination crime" of three Islamic Jihad leaders.

"The Resistance is ready to all options," the Palestinian factions added.

Palestine: Israel kills another militant commander in Gaza as fighting goes on, truce efforts falter

Israel bombs residential building, kills 4 more people in Gaza

11 May 2023; MEMO: Four more Palestinians were killed and seven others were wounded as Israel's air strikes against the besieged Gaza Strip continued for the third consecutive night, Palestinian medical sources confirmed on Thursday morning.

The latest attack was on a six-storey residential building in the city of Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Death Toll From Israeli Airstrikes On Gaza Today Rises To 15

GAZA, May 10 (NNN-WAFA) – The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip yesterday, have killed 15 Palestinians and wounded 22 others, said the Gaza-based Ministry of Health, run by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

The ministry said in a press statement that, among those killed included four children and five women, while seven of the 22 injured were in serious condition.

Palestine: 156 homes damaged in Gaza by recent Israeli air strikes

10 May 2023; MEMO: The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza said on Tuesday that 156 homes were damaged by this week's Israeli air strikes against the besieged territory.

"The Israeli aggression on Gaza left 27 residential units completely damaged and 129 partially damaged," GMO head Salameh Maarouf told journalists.

Israeli army shot settler near occupied Hebron, believing she was Palestinian

10 May 2023; MEMO: Israeli soldiers, on Tuesday, shot an Israeli female settler near Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, believing she was a Palestinian.

The army said, in a statement posted on Twitter, that "a Palestinian woman was neutralised at a military checkpoint south of Hebron while she was trying to carry out an attack," without causing any Israeli casualties.

However, Israeli media outlets said the shot woman was a mentally ill Jewish woman.
