Palestine: Two killed, two wounded in fresh Israel bombing of Gaza

10 May 2023; MEMO: In fresh Israeli bombing of southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, two Palestinians were killed and two others were wounded, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said.

They have not yet been named, but Israel claims they were Islamic Jihad operatives who had been planning to launch rockets towards Israel.

In an official statement, the Islamic Jihad denied the victims were members of the group, but stressed it will retaliate for all of the victims killed since the morning.

Palestine: Israeli strikes in Gaza kill 3 senior militants, 10 others

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel killed three senior commanders of the militant Islamic Jihad group in targeted airstrikes early Tuesday, the military said. Palestinian health officials said 13 people were killed in all, including the commanders, their wives, several of their children and others nearby.

Palestinians rebuild school in occupied West Bank after it was demolished by Israel

08 May 2023; MEMO: Palestinians rebuilt their school in the West Bank village of Bayt Ta'mar just a few hours after it was demolished by Israeli occupation, Wafa news agency reported on Sunday.

The village is located in the east of the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem. It has been facing increased settler aggression in recent weeks.

Palestine Condemned Israeli Building Of New Settlement Outpost Near Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, May 8 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine condemned the construction of a new Israeli settlement outpost in the suburb of the Palestinian village of Mukhmas north of East Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that, the building of the new settlement outpost came, after the Israeli authorities confiscated Palestinian lands for the construction of the outpost and settlement roads.

Israeli authorities demolish Palestinian school in West Bank

RAMALLAH, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Israeli authorities demolished a Palestinian school in the city of Bethlehem of the occupied West Bank on Sunday, sparking condemnation and outrage from Palestinians and the international community.

The Jib Al-Deeb School, which had been rebuilt by Palestinians in 2017 after its previous demolition by Israeli authorities six years ago, was torn down by the Israeli forces, accompanied by military vehicles, claiming that the school was constructed without proper permits.

Israel demolishes Palestinian school in occupied West Bank

07 May 2023; MEMO: Israeli army forces on Sunday demolished a Palestinian school in the occupied West Bank for lack of a building permit, according to a local official, reports Anadolu Agency.

Hassan Brijieh, the head of the so-called Colonisation and Wall Resistance Commission in Bethlehem, said Israeli forces and bulldozers moved into the town of Jibb Al-Deeb, east of Bethlehem city, and demolished the donor-funded school.

Israel Handed Over Bodies Of Three Palestinians Killed In March

RAMALLAH, May 6 (NNN-WAFA) – The Israeli army, yesterday handed over the bodies of three Palestinians, who were killed by Israeli soldiers more than 50 days ago, to the Palestinian side, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement.

In coordination with the Palestinian liaison office of security coordination with Israel, the Israeli army handed the bodies over to the Palestinian side at an Israeli army checkpoint, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, the statement added.

Israeli army kills 2 Palestinians in West Bank raid

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Israeli forces shot dead two Palestinians during a military raid in the occupied West Bank on Saturday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said. A local armed group said the pair were militants.

The deadly raid in the Nur Shams refugee camp near the city of Tulkarem was the latest in Israeli-Palestinian violence that has surged since last year.
