Israel settlers burn Palestinian house in occupied West Bank

26 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israeli settlers set fire to a Palestinian house in the West Bank on Wednesday, in the latest attack on Palestinian properties in the Occupied Territory, according to a local official, Anadolu News Agency reports.

"The entire house was destroyed in the fire," Ghassan Daghlas, who is in charge of monitoring settlement building in the northern West Bank, told Anadolu.

Blind Palestinian scholar starts hunger strike inside Israel jail

25 Apr 2023; MEMO: Sheikh Izzedine Amarneh, a blind Islamic religious scholar, has started a hunger strike in protest against his administrative detention by the Israeli occupation, his family announced yesterday.

Amarneh, who has recently received his doctorate from a university in Malaysia, was detained during a raid on his family house in Yabad, near the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, on 21 February 2022.

Palestinian resistance warns of activating assassination policy: Israel will pay the price

24 Apr 2023; MEMO: Palestinian resistance factions have affirmed that the occupation's threats to assassinate their leaders will lead to a confrontation and the occupation will pay its price.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said the occupation's threats to activate its assassination policy is an attempt to bolster its image after the growth of our people's revolution and the diversification of resistance action fronts.

Israel settlers demolish five Palestine shops in Hebron Old City

20 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israeli occupation settlers demolished, on Wednesday, five Palestinian shops in the Old City of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, Wafa news agency reported.

The demolition, witnesses said, was carried out with full protection of the Israeli Occupation Forces.

Director of Hebron Reconstruction Committee, Imad Hamdan, said that the five shops are located in the market area of the old city.

Calls for world churches to support Palestinian Christians

20 Apr 2023; MEMO: The Higher Presidential Committee of Church Affairs in Palestine yesterday called on world churches to support Palestinian Christians.

In a letter, the head of the committee, Ramzi Khoury, raised an alert regarding the danger facing Palestinian Christians, urging world churches to help and support the Christian presence in Palestine.

Israel shoots Palestinian woman in occupied West Bank

18 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israeli occupation soldiers yesterday shot a Palestinian woman in the southern West Bank, claiming she had carried out a stabbing attack during which she injured an Israeli citizen.

The army posted on Twitter that the Palestinian woman had stabbed an illegal Israeli settler near the illegal Gush Etzion settlement in occupied Hebron, adding that the settler was taken to a hospital to receive medical treatment.

8 Palestinians injured by Israeli soldiers in West Bank clashes: health ministry

RAMALLAH, April 18 (Xinhua) -- At least eight Palestinians were shot and injured on Tuesday during clashes with Israeli soldiers in a refugee camp of Jenin in the northern West Bank, Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement.

The injured Palestinians were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment after the clashes, according to the statement.

Israeli soldiers, backed by an armored vehicle and a bulldozer, stormed the Palestinian refugee camp and surrounded several buildings while reconnaissance drones hovered overhead, Palestinian eyewitnesses said.

Israel: Shin Bet charges two Palestinians in occupied West Bank for working with IRGC, Hezbollah

17 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israel's security service, the Shin Bet, has accused two Palestinians from the West Bank of working for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iran-backed Lebanese militia, Hezbollah.

According to an announcement today by the Shin Bet, indictments were filed against Yusuf Mansour and Marsil Mansour – two Palestinians from the West Bank – who had allegedly agreed to smuggle military equipment in Israel for Hezbollah and IRGC operatives.

Israel has weaponised food to force Palestinians to abandon rights, claim UN papers

13 Apr 2023; MEMO: The UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food has published two papers in which it is said that food has been weaponised by Israel in order to force Palestinians to abandon their legitimate rights. The papers were prepared by the Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) and detail the nature, degree and impact of Israeli violence on Jordanian and Palestinian food systems.
