Jordan condemns new Israeli settlement plans in occupied East Jerusalem

26 Mar 2023; MEMO: Jordan on Saturday decried new Israeli settlement plans in occupied East Jerusalem as a violation of international law, Anadolu reports.

On Friday, Israel issued tenders for the construction of 1,029 units in the settlements of Efrat and Beita Illit in East Jerusalem, according to Peace Now, an Israeli anti-settlements watchdog.

Palestinian PM Called For International Measures To End Incitement By Israeli Officials

RAMALLAH, Mar 23 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, yesterday called on the international community, to stop Israeli officials from inciting racism against the Palestinians.

Ishtaye made the remarks during a meeting with the French Consul General in Jerusalem, Rene Trokaz, at Ishtaye’s office in the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to an official statement.

Palestine appeals for US action following settler attack on Jerusalem church

20 Mar 2023; MEMO: Palestine on Sunday appealed for US and international action to halt Israeli settler attacks against holy sites in occupied East Jerusalem, Anadolu reports.

Two Israeli settlers on Sunday broke into the Church of Gethsemane in Jerusalem and attempted to sabotage the content inside, but were confronted by a Palestinian man who was present at the church, according to the Governorate of Jerusalem.

Israel kills 4 Palestinians in latest raid on Jenin

17 Mar 2023; MEMO: Four Palestinians were shot dead by the Israeli occupation army in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has said. It added that a 16-year-old boy was among the dead. A further 20 Palestinians were injured in the raid. Witnesses said that Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Jenin and opened fire on two Palestinians.

Palestine: Hamas sent high-level delegation to Moscow at Russia's invitation

16 Mar 2023; MEMO: A high-level Hamas delegation visited Moscow recently at the invitation of the Russian government, the Palestinian resistance group said on Tuesday. It made the announcement while highlighting its standing among major global powers. Both Russia and China have good ties with Hamas despite it being designated as a terrorist organisation by Israel and its allies in the west.

Jerusalem facing 'unprecedented conspiracy,' says Orthodox archbishop

16 Mar 2023; MEMO: The head of the Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, said on Wednesday that Jerusalem is being subject to an "unprecedented conspiracy."

The archbishop made his comment during a meeting with a delegation of Italian MPs and municipal officials who are visiting the occupied territories to show their solidarity with the Palestinians and to examine their situation first hand.

Palestine to attend security meeting with Israel in Egypt Sharm El-Sheikh

15 Mar 2023; MEMO: The Palestinian Authority (PA) said Wednesday it will participate in a security meeting with Israel in Egypt's Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh this weekend, Anadolu News Agency reports.

Egypt, Jordan and the US will attend the meeting, due on 19 March.

Palestinian president calls on Israel to abide by signed treaties, UN resolutions

RAMALLAH, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday called on the Israeli government to abide by the signed agreement and the UN resolutions and stop all unilateral measures and actions in the Palestinian territories.

The official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that Abbas made the remarks during a meeting with the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tiani in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Three More Palestinians Killed In West Bank, Shot By Israeli Soldiers

RAMALLAH/JERUSALEM, Mar 13 (NNN-WAFA) – Three more Palestinians were killed yesterday, by Israeli soldiers, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, Palestinian medics, as well as, Israeli sources said.

Three Palestinian men were shot dead, after they opened fire at an Israeli army force near Nablus, according to separate statements by the Palestinian Health Ministry and the Israeli army.

A fourth Palestinian was arrested, after he surrendered and handed himself over to the Israeli force, added the sources.

3 Palestinian militants killed in Israeli raid in West Bank

JABA, West Bank (AP) — Three Palestinian militants were killed in a shootout with Israeli troops on Thursday, the latest deaths in a surge of Israeli arrest raids in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli security forces said they raided the village of Jaba in the northern West Bank to arrest suspects wanted for attacks on Israeli soldiers in the area. The suspects opened fire on Israeli troops, who shot back and killed three people, all affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant group, police said.
