The attack potentially marked a major escalation in a series of maritime attacks in the Mideast linked to the Israel-Hamas war.

UAE: PM Kakar for executing $100 bn commitments for climate change finance

DUBAI, Dec 2 (APP): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Saturday called for immediately executing the US$100 billion commitments for climate finance to ensure implementation of climate change actions by the developing countries and to mitigate the climate change impacts.

“Such finance should not be at the cost of development finance nor add to the already high debt burden of the developing countries,” the prime minister said while delivering National Statement at the 28th Conference of Parties of the United Nations (COP 28) here.

Morocco: Israel bans trucks with aid from entering Gaza through Rafah crossing — report

RABAT, December 2. /TASS/:  Israel has banned trucks with humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip from Egypt, the WAFA news agency reported, citing the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

"Israel has informed that it banned humanitarian aid trucks from entering the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing until further notice," the PSCS said.

Israel has ordered that the Palestinian side of the crossing be cleared of trucks as soon as possible.

Palestine: Death toll in Gaza exceeds 15,000 - Health Ministry

RABAT, December 2. /TASS/: The death toll in the Gaza Strip since the escalation of the conflict with Israel began on October 7 has exceeded 15,000, the Palestinian enclave's Health Ministry told the Al Jazeera TV channel.

"The number of fatalities of the Israeli aggression since it began has reached 15,207," the ministry said. The number of wounded has reached 40,652, it added.

Israeli Missile Strike Targets Syrian Capital

DAMASCUS, Dec 2 (NNN-SANA) – An Israeli missile attack, hit military sites in the vicinity of the Syrian capital, Damascus early today, the latest in a spate of Israeli attacks against Syria, according to the national Syrian TV.

Multiple explosions were heard in Damascus after midnight, in what appeared to be a hostile missile attack.

The state-owned TV later confirmed it was an Israeli missile attack on the vicinity of Damascus.
