KANPUR: A case of deception has come to light at the Hallet Hospital here on Saturday.
One Eshu became the victim of this fraud at the hands of the swindlers roaming in and around the hospital. Disturbed with his mother’s illness he consulted Dr Ranjeet Nigam of the Medicine Department at the hospital. The doctor advised him to admit his mother. Certain medical tests were also asked to complete.
He was also advised to make blood available for her ailing mother Chanda Devi. Thinking of immediate accessibility of the blood, he came out of the Medicine Ward.
Just as he came out of the Ward, one person met him. He assured him to help conduct free tests and also avail him blood without delay. He demanded a sum of Rs 7000 for this trouble-free deeds.
Eshu of Gajner village of Kanpur Dehat offered him the money he demanded. That person moved away but did not return. Realising about the deception Eshu complained of the matter to the EMO at the hospital.
