India: Congress to stand with secular parties: Tariq

KANPUR: Speaking as the chief guest in a programme here on Sunday, Tariq Anwar, MP, said the Congress party will reach an alliance with every secular political party in the coming parliamentary elections. It has also been discussing on possibilities of an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Samajwadi Party. There will arise no problem in seat sharing.

He added that the people are fed up with the Bhartiya Janata Party governments. This has become clear with the recent polls results in at least three states. Whether it was Modi Government at the Centre or Yogi Government at Uttar Pradesh none has completed its promises made to the public.

Making his points quite cogent the Congress leader maintained it was for the first time any government has filed a false affidavit in the Supreme Court.

Sri Prakash Jaiswal ex-union minister, Suhail Ahmad, MLA, Raja Ram Pal, ex-member of parliament and various others were also present on occasion.
