India: RPF constables assured better lodging

KANPUR:  As many as 230 RPF constables will be shifted to new barrack near Jhakarkatti here. This will solve their lodging problem. A new barrack for the women constables will be constructed at Govndpuri station soon, said SN Pandey, Inspector General, Railways Police Force.

He also stated that the NCR would get a staff of 300 female constables with the completion of their recruitment process on February 19. A total of 30 female constables will be deployed in Kanpur. The RPF is recruiting 7000 male & female constables in the whole of the country under fresh recruitment.

He also uttered that the RPF staff definitely needed better conditions following the inspection of all the existing five barracks of the force.

He also divulged that the RPF would develop its own bomb-detecting squad that would be posted at the big railway stations.
