India: Youth's crushed body found

KANPUR: Police remained nearly unsuccessful in finding out a solid clue in the murder of a youth near the Baba meadow adjacent to the BPMG College ground in Mandhana area under Bithhoor police station. The villagers were also not supposed to be too supportive to lend a piece of complete information.

A dead body of an about 25-year-old e-rickshaw driver was found near the College ground. He was a resident of Chakratanpur Naramau and living with mother, two brothers and a sister. He was wearing blue jeans, a jacket and a red-white sweater. His pant’s zip and the belt were loose. His face was badly crushed with a stone. His family identified his body. His mobile and money we're stolen.

The police initially failed to identify the dead body despite making contact with the villagers. What was found on the dead body was a tattoo on the hand. The blood-stained stone which was used in trampling the head was lying nearby. Bidi and Ganja have also dispersed around.

The Superintendent of Police (West) Sanjeev Suman and CO Kalyanpur Rajesh Pandey reached on the spot after receiving the news. A forensic team and a dog squad collected shreds of evidence. Close at hand, the CCTV footage was also searched. The police concluded that his dispute with the purchaser of his e-rickshaw may be a cause of his killing. Besides a chit with mobile number of a driver was also recovered from his pocket. The police took them in custody.
