India: Work begins on synthetic track at Nana Rao Park

KANPUR: As many as ten thousand people visit Nanarao Park daily that sprawls in an area of 25 acres of land. This park will be beautified with an amount of Rs 9.76 crore under the Smart City Mission. The beautification project will be completed in a span of nine months. City’s first synthetic track, besides one cycle track, will also be developed at the park.

There would be a continuous vigil on the quality of the work. No laxity will be tolerated, said Puja Tripathi, who supervises the smart city work. The work on this project has already begun.

A total of four types of works will be carried out. A sum of Rs 5.09 crore on construction of pathway and synthetic tracks will be spent. Rs 1.82 crore will be spent on lights, toilet, drinking water and other facilities. Construction of herbal park, bench and flower pots cost Rs 1.23 crore. Rs 1.61 crore will be required for boundary walls and gates.    

People from adjoining areas like Birhana Road, Phool Bagh, Karachi Khana, Tapeshwari Mandir, Kamla Tower, Lathi Mohal, Patkapur Brahm Chhata, Patkapur, Generalganj, Nayaganj, Kurosawa, Express Road, Hulaganj, Bhagwatdas Ghat, Rammayaran Bazar Maniram Bagia and Shiwala shall be benefitted. Morning walkers come to the park in a large number. every day
