India: Sri Prakash Jaiswal told to deposit Form-26 again

KANPUR: As the nominations have been taking place for Kanpur parliamentary seat, the candidates along with their supporters were reaching the Collectorate. Although Sri Prakash Jaiswal submitted his nomination papers yet the mistake caused him to submit Form-26 again. However, it can be said he came out of the frying pan into the fire during his nomination.

Jaiswal was told to deposit the Form 26 once again. He missed giving information about no dues in the one column of the affidavit. The column was left blank. So the District Election Officer V V Pant served him with a notice for the aberration which was found in both the sets of nomination paper.

First inauspicious time restrained him and later there was another vital mistake. He was very particular about the auspicious time. The astrological calculation hampered him. to enter into the nomination place and he along with his staunch party men waited at the auditorium for half-an-hour for the lucky moment.

The Congress party candidate Sri Prakash Jaiswal also arrived at the DM’s office for submitting his nomination papers on Wednesday afternoon. Completing all the formalities he submitted his papers at 2.00 p.m. It took about one long hour in cross-checking and thus he submitted his nomination papers in two sets.

In the first set, Harprakash Agnihotri, Mahanagar Congress president was proposer while Suhail Ansari, MLA remained proposer in the second set of the nomination form. Rajiv Shukla, SD Mishra, Sanjiv Dariyabadi and others were present on the occasion. In order to register their presence, the supporters wanted to be present till the last leg but the police stopped them. Their fiery arguments with the police personnel remained futile in reaching the portico. and they waited near the barricaded spot.
