India: Tough task to keep cubs alive at zoo

Kanpur: Cubs intact but medical help ahead for survival. All the three cubs of leopard are getting care at Kanpur zoo since its arrival here. However, the Chief Conservator of Forest Sunil Pandey has directed the zoo director to be more careful towards those newly brought cubs. 

The cubs were recovered from interiors of Mordabad district and the forest department officials thought it suitable to keep the little cubs at the famous Allen Forest zoo here. 

According to the available information those cubs have undergone medical check up by expert veterinary doctors. They were trying to find out the depthness of injury. As the cubs got separated from its mother they wandered to and fro. 

Two cubs are merely 25-day old while one is about six months old. The zoo director also cleared that there were two cubs with an age of 25 days and the third cub was six-month old. Those were kept under complete care. 

He also pointed out that the number of leopards had now increased up to 14. It was only 11 so far.
