Iran Says “Enemies” Highlighted Solely Enrichment Part Of Its Nuclear Programme

TEHRAN, Oct 16 (NNN-IRNA) – The spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran (AEOI), said yesterday that, uranium enrichment constitutes only part of Iran’s nuclear activities, but the “enemies” seek to solely highlight it.

Making the remarks in an address to a meeting, Behrouz Kamalvandi added, the country has done good work in the fields of producing radiopharmaceuticals and agriculture, according to the AEOI’s website.

Iran opposes deployment of foreign forces to Caucasus region: FM

TEHRAN, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Iran is opposed to the deployment of foreign forces to the Caucasus region, the Iranian Foreign Ministry's website reported on Sunday.

Iran supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries including Azerbaijan and Armenia, and this approach is the permanent policy of Iran, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov on Saturday.

Iran: Psychological counselling for detained students

13 October 2022; MEMO: Iran is holding high school students detained in protests over the death of an Iranian woman in police custody in psychological counselling centres, Minister of Education and Training, Yousef Nouri, said Wednesday, Anadolu News Agency reports.

"No students were jailed," Nouri said in statements cited by the local Sharq newspaper. "The detainees are admitted into correction and education centres where experts are tending to their needs," he added.

Iran arrests spy working for Israel

13 October 2022; MEMO: Iranian authorities have arrested an alleged spy working for the Israeli intelligence service, the Mossad, Israeli media reported.

The suspect was arrested in the city of Kerrman in central Iran by the intelligence arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The suspect planned to carry out "subversive" operations with the aim of destabilising the region and shaking its security, the report says.

Syria Slams U.S. Oil Plunder “Act Of Piracy”: Media

TEHRAN, Oct 12 (NNN-XINHUA) – Syria has denounced the ongoing U.S. plunder of oil from its territory, as an “act of piracy and an attempt to return to the colonial era,” Iranian state-run Press TV, reported.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, tweeted Saturday that, the U.S. smuggling of oil and transferring them to neighbouring Iraq, were a violation of international law and the UN Charter, calling the United Nations Security Council to condemn such acts, Press TV cited Syria’s official news agency SANA, as saying.

First Iran-made passenger plane in 3 years: Official

12 October 2022; MEMO: The head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organisation (CAO) Mohammad Mohammadi-Bakhshd said yesterday that the first Iranian-made passenger plane will enter service within the next three years, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported.

The official's remarks came more than a month after President Ebrahim Raisi announced plans to build the first Iranian passenger plane.

480 thalassemia patients died in 4 years due to U.S. sanctions: Iranian spokesman

TEHRAN, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Iranian government spokesman said 480 thalassemia patients have died in Iran over the past four years because of the U.S. sanctions which impede Iran's import of medicine for rare diseases.

Because of the sanctions, 70 thalassemia patients lost their lives in 2018, 90 in 2019, 140 in 2020, and 180 in 2021, Ali Bahadori Jahromi said in a late Saturday tweet.

Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran is facing hybrid threats from the foes in different arenas, so the country is getting ready to stand against the menace, said the chief of staff for the Armed Forces of Iran on Saturday.

Tehran, IRNA – Heads of the three branches of the Iranian government said on Saturday that the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran consider the unified and powerful Iran as a threat to their interests.

President Ebrahim Raisi, Judiciary Chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejeie, and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf held a meeting at the presidential palace on Saturday evening.
