ISLAMABAD, Nov 13 (APP): President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday said the dream of peace and security in the world could not be realized until the countries looked beyond the lens of vested interests and resolved mutual conflicts on the principles of humanity.

“The world is letting the people of Kashmir suffer the humanitarian crisis while it protects its vested economic interests,” the President said at an annual Margalla Dialogue held here on ‘Peace and development in South Asia, Middle East and Central Asia (SAMECA)’.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 12 (APP): Curfew,military lockdown and restrictions continue on 100th consecutive day Tuesday in Indian occupied Kashmir and Muslim majority areas of Jammu and Ladakh following the August 5 Indian illegal decision to abrogate special status of the Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, restrictions under Section 144 and ban on prepaid phone, SMS and internet services remain enforced.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP): Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari said it was responsibility of the UN Security Council to intervene the situation and take notice of the killing and torturing of Kashmiri children in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).

Talking to APP here on Monday she said that the police in Indian Occupied Kashmir arrested 144 children including a nine-year-old since August 5 when the Indian government revoked the special status of disputed region and imposed a lockdown, she quoted the court-appointed committee’s report.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan said that State of Madina established by Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was a guiding principle for the people of all ages as it had not merely focused the betterment of Muslims but the whole humanity.

Lahore, Nov 10 (PTI) Ailing former Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif may not travel to London on Sunday for treatment as government delayed removal of his name from the no fly-list.

The 69-year-old Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo agreed on Friday to go to the UK for the treatment, heeding doctors' advice and accepting his family's request. He was scheduled to leave for London on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight on Sunday morning.

The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor linking Dera Baba Sahib in Gurdaspur in India and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan was thrown open on Saturday, in a historic people-to-people initiative, sparking a glimmer of hope for improvement in the strained ties between the two countries.

ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP): Chairman, Kashmir Committee Syed Fakhar Imam Thursday urged that the United Nations (UN) must ask Modi government to immediately lift the inhuman continued curfew in occupied Kashmir and release all the Hurriyet leaders.

The innocent Kashmiri people were facing the shortage of food and medicines and unable to reach hospitals due to curfew, he said while talking to private news channel.

Islamabad, Nov 5 (PTI) Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that he was ready to accept all "valid" demands of the 'Azadi March' protesters, led by firebrand cleric-cum-politician Maulana Fazlur Rehman, except their call for his resignation.

Prime minister Khan reportedly made the remarks in a meeting with Defence Minister Pervez Khattak-led team tasked to negotiate with the opposition parties taking part in the massive march comprising thousands of protesters in Islamabad.
