27 October 2023; MEMO: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian told the United Nations yesterday that for three weeks the world has witnessed war crimes and genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
In his speech at the General Assembly meeting in New York, Abdollahian added that the United States and European countries are witnessing and supporting the killing of 7,000 civilians in Gaza by the killing machine of Israel. He warned that Iran does not welcome the expansion of the scope of the war in the region, but if the Gaza war continues, Iran will not be able to stop the fire.
He continued to emphasise that Israel is a state of occupation and aggression, and the Palestinian people have the right to resist it and establish their state. A comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue can only be achieved by granting the Palestinian people the right to establish their state, he added.
