About 60 children died in a Medical College in Gorakhpur due to unavailability of Oxygen. Upon hearing the news of dying children, Dr Kafeel, who was on leave that day, rushed to the hospital and tried to save as many children as he could. For a couple of days; he was hailed as a hero.
But when the blame game started, he was made responsible for the deaths, fired and jailed. UP High Court couldn't find any evidence against him and released him.
Now an investigation report found no basis for the accusations of UP Gov labelled against Dr Kafeel.
In this press conference Dr Kafeel talks about those accusations and the report.
