NEW YORK, March 3. /TASS/: The US company SpaceX on Thursday launched a Falcon 9 rocket with another cluster of 47 satellites for its orbital Starlink network, according to a broadcast on the company’s website.

The liftoff took place at Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 9:25 ET (17:25 Moscow time).

The reusable first-stage booster for the rocket had previously been used 10 times. It is expected to descend to a barge in the Atlantic Ocean, Just Read the Instructions, about 9 minutes after the launch. Multiple usage of boosters enables Elon Musk’s company to reduce the cost of putting satellites into orbit.

The Starlink constellation of satellites, each weighing up to 500 kilograms, is meant to provide Internet access. SpaceX estimates that the deployment of a total of 11,000 satellites will cost $10 billion. It has launched more than 2,234 Starlink satellites since May 2019.
