ISLAMABAD, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted multiple operations, recovering over 200 kg of drugs and arresting seven suspects, the ANF said on Friday.

During the anti-narcotics operations, the ANF recovered drugs, including opium, hashish, heroin, methamphetamine and others, the ANF said in a statement, adding that other than drugs, 1,000 intoxicated tablets were also seized.

The ANF team conducted a raid in the suburbs of the capital Islamabad and recovered 98.4 kg of opium and 84 kg of hashish while arresting two drug smugglers, said the statement.

In eastern Punjab province, nearly 24 kg of narcotics, including hashish and heroin, were recovered in separate operations in various districts. The ANF also apprehended three accused during the operations, the ANF statement said.

The operations were conducted in Attock, Narowal, Sialkot and Mianwali districts of the Punjab province.

Separately, more than 1,000 intoxicated tablets were seized from the possession of two drug pushers after authorities intercepted a vehicle near the Ring Road areas of the northwest Peshawar city.

The ANF said separate cases have been registered against the accused while further investigations are under process.
