11 Nov 2021; MEMO: The commander of the Air and Missile Forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, today threatened to "destroy the Zionist entity in the event of any attack on Iran", the Palestinian Information Centre reported.
In a speech delivered on the sidelines of a ceremony commemorating "the anniversary of the martyrdom of the main founder of the Iranian missile industry, Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam," Hajizadeh was quoted by local news sites as saying: "If the Zionist entity commits any foolishness and gives us an excuse, they will not see the light afterwards, and their historical destruction will certainly accelerate."
"There is no need to talk about our capabilities. The enemy knows them. Therefore, it demands negotiation over our missile capabilities and seeks to limit the capabilities of our marches."
"Israeli authorities know that they can start the confrontation, but they will not be the one to end it because the end will be in our hands."
Last month, Israel approved a budget of five billion shekels ($1.5 billion) to prepare for a possible attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
This came after the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, Aviv Kochavi, said that the occupation state had "greatly accelerated" preparations for action against Iran's nuclear programme.
