20 Nov 2021; MEMO: Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar announced on Thursday that military operations in Syria would continue until the neutralisation of the last "terrorist", Aram News reported.
Akar confirmed that his country fulfils the humanitarian needs of around nine million "Syrian brothers" in Turkey and Syria.
"If we did not carry out these operations, our country and the whole region would have been facing a big threat and danger," he explained.
Akar stressed: "Military operations will continue until the neutralisation of the last terrorist in Syria and guaranteeing security, sovereignty and unity of the neighbouring countries."
The Turkish defence minister asserted: "We are not only protecting our country and nation, but we protect the innocent people who live in the region."
At the end of last month, Akar said certain sides had been reaming to create: "A terrorist corridor in the north of Syria, but this was destroyed over the heads of the terrorists there."
He emphasised that Turkey would not allow the creation of such a "terrorist" corridor and that his country would continue fighting terrorism in all areas.
Akar said that any area that includes terrorists is a target for his country's army.
