TEHRAN, Dec 24 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran sent a shipment of Iran-made goods to Venezuela, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported, yesterday.
The dispatch of consignment comes, in line with the policies of the Iranian government and the necessity of developing the export of Iranian goods in the world markets, according to the report, citing an announcement by the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines.
The national maritime carrier of Iran said, it is ready to establish a regular line for exporting cargo to Venezuela, should the Iranian traders and exporters welcome business with the Latin American country.
The two countries, both heavily hit by U.S. sanctions, have established close economic and energy ties in recent years, to offset the impacts of sanctions.
Iran started in Oct, the first refinery processing of 100,000 barrels per day of crude produced in Iranian oilfields, in Venezuela’s El Palito refinery.
