PAK: India to implode under Hindutva ideology: FM

ISLAMABAD, Dec 30 (APP): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Monday said Indian government’s Hindutva ideology, aimed at targeting Muslims, was severely damaging the
country’s democratic norms and urged upon the world to take notice on vulnerability of minorities.

“Damage to India is coming from within as Hindutva is tearing apart democratic values,” the foreign minister said in reaction to the maltreatment of Islamic leaders in Uttar Pradesh in India on their protest against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB).

Pakistan to become ‘voice of innocent Kashmiris’: PM

ISLAMABAD, Dec 30 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said Pakistan would become the ‘voice of innocent Kashmiris’ by forcefully raising the issue at every forum.

“Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris,” the prime minister said in a meeting with renowned Kashmiri activist Tony Ashai here at the PM House.

The meeting discussed current situation in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir with security forces indulging in severe oppression and barbarity against innocent civilians.

Harshest cold weather added to miseries of IOK people, “lockdown enters 146th day”

ISLAMABAD, Dec 28 (APP): There is no let up in the miseries of the residents of the Kashmir Valley as they continue to remain besieged on 146th consecutive day, while the harshest cold weather has added to the miseries of the besieged people as they couldn’t stock essential commodities for the winter season.

Pakistan rolls out first batch of dual-seat fighter jets manufactured with China

Islamabad, Dec 28 (PTI) Pakistan has rolled out the first batch of its indigenous dual-seat fighter jets, manufactured in collaboration with its all-weather ally China.

To mark the occasion, a grand ceremony was held at the Aircraft Manufacturing Factory in Kamra near Islamabad on Friday, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) said in a statement.

Pakistan's Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing and Aviation Industries of China Executive Vice President Hao Zhaoping were present on the occasion.

Pak Navy conducts live weapon firing in North Arabian Sea

KARACHI, Dec 27 (APP): Pakistan Navy, in an impressive display of firepower, Friday demonstrated its combat readiness through live firing of missiles from surface, subsurface
and air platforms in North Arabian Sea.

Short Range Air Defense System firing was also demonstrated.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi was the chief guest and witnessed Live Weapon Firings, says a press release of ISPR-Navy.

FM strongly condemns India’s firing at LoC

ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (APP): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday strongly condemned the indiscriminate firing by Indian security forces at the Line of Control (LoC), saying the attempt aimed to divert attention from the controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill.

With an objective to marginalize minorities in India, the Citizenship bill has drawn strong protests by the locals, particularly Muslims.

The foreign minister paid tribute to the two Pakistan Army soldiers martyred in Indian ceasefire violations along the LoC in Dewa Sector.

Qureshi, Saudi FM discuss bilateral, regional matters

ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (APP): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud met here Thursday and discussed issues of bilateral and regional importance.

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FM Qureshi said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed brotherly relationship and were committed to further strengthen cooperation in diverse areas.

The Foreign Minister thanked FM Faisal bin Farhan on Saudi Arabia’s support to Pakistan on its stance on Kashmir, the Foreign Office said.

Pakistan ready to respond any Indian misadventure: Sh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI, Dec 25 (APP): Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad Wednesday said that Indian Muslims are looking towards Pakistan as they were deprived of their basic rights in the so called democracy.

Addressing a public gathering held in connection with “Quiad Azam Day”, he said that next few months were important for the country’s politics and PTI government would complete its five-year term as it had taken historical steps to bring the country out of many crises, it had inherited.

PM urges nation to build Pakistan in accordance with Quaid’s vision

ISLAMABAD, Dec 25 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan Wednesday said that on Quaid-i-Azam’s birthday, they, as a nation, must resolve to build Pakistan in accordance with his vision of an Islamic welfare state based on compassion, human dignity, justice, rule of law & a plural inclusivist society.

In a series of tweets on Quaid’s birthday, the prime minister also stressed upon the young aspiring leaders that they should make Quaid as their role model.

Pakistan govt denies permission to Maryam Nawaz to travel abroad

Islamabad, Dec 23 (PTI) The Pakistan government has denied permission to PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz to travel abroad, saying those involved in any economic crime and institutional fraud could not be allowed to leave the country, according to a media report on Monday.

Maryam, the 46-year-old daughter of Pakistan's former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, was placed on the no-fly list in August 2018 in an alleged corruption case.
