15 May 2021; MEMO: A large number of Jordanians on Friday headed to the country's borders with Palestine to participate in an event called for by activists in support of their brothers in the occupied territories.

The gathering occurred on Friday afternoon in front of the Martyrs of Dignity Memorial in Al-Aghwar Al-Janubi.

Eyewitnesses reported that security forces were present at the gathering location, especially with the continuous arrival of hundreds of participants.

AMMAN, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Jordan on Sunday summoned the Israeli charge d'affaires of the Israeli embassy in Amman to protest the ongoing Israeli violations against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Ministry's Secretary-General Yousef Bataineh stressed that the recent Israeli practices against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem contradicted international law and its historical and legal status quo, the ministry said in a statement.

08 May 2021; MEMO: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi announced on Friday that Israeli aggression on Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah and trying to expel them from their homes "is playing with fire."

07 May 2021; MEMO: Jordan yesterday appointed Jafar Hassan as director of the Office of King Abdullah II.

Royal Decrees also announced that the resignation of Haifa Khraisha from her position as Adviser to His Majesty for Policies had been accepted.

Kemal Al Nasser's resignation from his position as adviser to the king was also accepted.

While a final decree also accepted the resignation of Zeina Toukan from her position as adviser for Economic Affairs at the Royal Hashemite Court.

AMMAN, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Jordan and Egypt on Sunday denounced all violent actions by extremist Israeli groups against the Palestinians in the Old City of Jerusalem, calling on Israel to stop such activities immediately.

During a phone call, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry discussed the recent developments in Jerusalem, stressing the necessity of stopping all attacks and provocations to end tension and resume calm, according to a statement by Jordan's foreign ministry.

 22 Apr 2021; MEMO: Jordan's Senate Speaker Faisal Al-Fayez said on Wednesday that Prince Hamzah Bin Hussein had agreed not to speak to the media and not even answer phone calls, it has been reported. Al-Quds Al-Araby cited a report by France 24 saying that this agreement came as part of a deal reached with his uncle Prince Hassan Bin Talal, the former Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom.

 22 Apr 2021; MEMO:Jordan did not receive medical aid from Israel, state-owned Petra quoted an official source as saying yesterday.

"Jordan has enough Covid-19 tests, secured its needs of ventilators and facial masks that are produced by its factories, and these are what the press reports said the kingdom had received from Israel," the source said.

22 Apr 2021; MEMO: Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Wednesday submitted documents to Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas proving Palestinian ownership of Jerusalem's neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah, Wafa news agency reported.

12 Apr 2021; MEMO: Jordanian Prince Hamza Bin Al Hussein was not the victim of conspirators but was involved in a real coup attempt, a Jordanian writer said in a column in Al Ghad newspaper on Saturday.

Prince Hamza's signing of the declaration of allegiance was the beginning, not the end, as he now needs to turn his pledge into practice, writer Fahd Al-Khaitan wrote, adding that the pledge does not mean that he was not involved in the attempted coup.

AMMAN, Jordan (AP) — Jordan’s Prince Hamzah on Sunday made his first public appearance since he was placed under house arrest last week, reciting Quranic verses together with King Abdullah II at the graves of their forefathers. The gesture appeared to be an attempted show of unity on a major Jordanian holiday.
