Russia, Kazakhstan sign 13 documents during interregional forum, says president

NUR-SULTAN, September 30. /TASS/: Kazakhstan and Russia signed 13 papers during the 17th Inter-regional Cooperation Forum that took place in the online format of September 28-30, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Thursday.

"I believe that today’s conversation was constructive and business-like. We hashed over the main problems and defined the goals for the upcoming period, and assigned specific tasks. During the forum, we signed 13 documents," he said.

US has no concrete plans for using Russian military bases in Central Asia, says envoy

NUR-SULTAN, September 28. / TASS /: The US military does not yet have any specific plans for using Russian military bases in Central Asia in order to counter terrorism, US Ambassador to Kazakhstan William Moser said at a briefing on Tuesday.

"We do not have specific plans in this field so far," the US envoy noted.

Death toll in Kazakhstan military base explosion up to 13

NUR-SULTAN, August 28. / TASS /: The death toll at the ammunition warehouse fire and explosion at the military base in Kazakhstan went up to 13, according to the Kazakhstan Emergency Ministry press service statement on Saturday.

The search for three more people is under way.

"The death toll in the explosion in the Zhambyl region has reached 13. Another body has been found and identified," according to the statement. Earlier, the ministry reported that 12 people were killed while battling the consequences of the explosion.

Death toll of Kazakhstan munitions depot explosions rises to nine

NUR-SULTAN, August 27. /TASS/: The death toll of the fire and the subsequent explosions at a munitions depot in Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl District has increased to nine, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan announced Friday.

"According to the latest data, a total of nine people died, including employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the [nearby] military unit, the militarized security and the military prosecutor’s office. The victims are currently being identified," the statement says.

Earlier reports indicated that five people died in the incident.

Indian, Kazakh armies to hold 13-day military exercise

New Delhi, Aug 25 (PTI) The Indian and Kazakh armies will conduct a 13-day military exercise beginning August 30 with a focus on counter-terror operations in mountainous terrain, the defence ministry said on Wednesday.

The "KAZIND-21" exercise will be conducted at a Kazakh training node in Aisha Bibi in Kazakhstan, it said.

"The exercise will provide an opportunity to the Armed Forces of India & Kazakhstan to train for counter-insurgency/counter-terrorism operation in the mountainous, rural scenario under UN mandate," the ministry said in a statement.

Russia’s Nauka module separates from Proton-M carrier in flight to orbital outpost

BAIKONUR COSMODROME /Kazakhstan/, July 21. /TASS/: Russia’s Nauka multipurpose laboratory module has successfully separated from the upper stage of the Proton-M carrier rocket, the presenter announced at the Baikonur spaceport.

"The Nauka module has separated from the third stage of the carrier rocket," the presenter said.

A Proton-M launch vehicle with the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 5:58 p.m. Moscow time on July 21.

Kazakhstan’s authorities probe three main theories of An-26’s crash - TV report

NUR-SULTAN, March 14. /TASS/: Kazakhstan’s law enforcement officers are considering three main theories of the An-26 military aircraft’s crash near the Almaty International Airport: weather conditions, a technical failure and human error, the country’s Almaty TV channel announced on Sunday.

"The cause of the tragedy is being investigated by the National Security Committee’s experts. Three main versions of the accident are being probed: weather conditions, a technical failure and human factor," the statement reads.

Kazakhstan's National Security Committee pays tribute to fallen servicemen in military aircraft crash

NUR-SULTAN, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan on Sunday paid tribute to crew members killed in Saturday's crash of an An-26 military transport aircraft, according to the press service of the committee.

"The crew of the An-26 military transport aircraft was experienced and professionally trained, until the end of their lives they were faithful to the oath and military honor," the committee said in a statement.

Four killed in Kazakhstan military plane crash

ALMATY, March 13 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Four people died and two more were injured Saturday after a military plane crashed while trying to land in Kazakhstan’s largest city Almaty, authorities said.

“According to preliminary data, four people died, and two injured were sent to the nearest hospital,” the emergencies ministry said in a statement.

The plane was traveling to Almaty from the capital Nur-Sultan, the ministry in the Central Asian country said.
