The eruption has continued for 11th weeks after it began on Sept. 19, and shows no sign of stopping.

The activity was followed by the opening of a new mouth on the north-east face of the mountain and the formation of another cone emitting lava, ash and gases.

Nov 25 (Reuters) - The EU's drug regulator approved the use of Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine for children between the ages of five and 11 on Thursday, paving the way for them to be given a first shot as Europe struggles with a surge in cases.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommended that Pfizer-BioNTech's (PFE.N)(22UAy.DE) vaccine, approved for European Union use in teenagers between 12 and 17 years old since May, be given as an injection in the upper arm in two 10 microgram doses, three weeks apart. Adult doses contain 30 micrograms.

MADRID, Nov 18 (Reuters) - Cuban dissident Yunior Garcia said on Thursday he left the communist-ruled island for Spain after the authorities cut his phone lines and those of his close relatives, and threatened them with reprisals if they joined planned protests.

The dissident, 39, whose plan for a mass protest on Monday was declared illegal and blocked by local authorities, arrived in Madrid on Wednesday after securing a visa from the Spanish government.

ARGUINEGUIN, Spain, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Spanish coastguards found the bodies of eight African migrants in a boat which was drifting in the sea off Spain's Gran Canaria island on Sunday, the Canary Islands government said.

Sixty-two migrants, all of them men except a 12-year-old boy, were rescued by coastguards.

Three people who were critically ill were flown by helicopter to a hospital in Gran Canaria. Nine others were treated by the Spanish coastguard as they were taken to the island.

MADRID, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Police in Spain arrested 12 people and were looking for 12 more after a group of passengers fled a plane onto the runway at Palma de Mallorca airport on Friday night, causing the closure of the airport for several hours.

The Air Arabia Maroc (AIRA.DU) flight from Casablanca to Istanbul made an emergency landing at Palma de Mallorca airport after reports of an ill passenger, Guardia Civil said.
