28 May 2019; MEMO: Iran sees “no prospect of negotiations with America”, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said today, one day after US President Donald Trump said a new nuclear deal was a “possibility”.

“We do not have any talks with the US, and our basis is on respecting international pacts to which the US can return,” Abbas Mousavi told Fars news agency in Tehran.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran’s influential Revolutionary Guard said Tuesday it doesn’t fear a possible war with the United States and claimed that America hasn’t grown in power in recent years — the latest tough talk from Tehran amid escalating regional tensions and a crisis with Washington.

“The enemy is not more powerful than before,” said the Guard spokesman, Gen. Ramazan Sharif.

TEHRAN, May 26 (Xinhua) -- The recent military build-up by the U.S. regional forces has increased danger of conflicts between Tehran and Washington and has worried regional and international players.

The United States has deployed warships and bombers to the Iranian southern waters, and has reduced the number of its diplomats and employees in Iraq, citing intelligence about potential threats to U.S. nationals by Iran or its allies.

Besides, the U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he had decided to send 1,500 more troops to the restive Middle East region.

TEHRAN, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Foreign Ministry on Sunday denied that Iran had started talks with the United States over the mutual differences.

"There are no direct or indirect talks between Iran and the United States," Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said.

Mousavi made the remarks in response to the Kuwaiti media's Sunday reports that Tehran and Washington have started their negotiations over disputes.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran quadrupled its uranium-enrichment production capacity amid tensions with the U.S. over Tehran’s atomic program, nuclear officials said Monday, just after President Donald Trump and Iran’s foreign minister traded threats and taunts on Twitter.

Iranian officials made a point to stress that the uranium would be enriched only to the 3.67% limit set under the 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, making it usable for a power plant but far below what’s needed for an atomic weapon.

Tehran (ISNA) - Iran exported 4,348,000 tons of industrial mineral products in the first month of this year, which begun March 21st.

Value of industrial mineral exports stood at $503 million during the month, as customs data showed, accounting for 20 percent of non-oil exports.

During the period, Iran registered a 16 percent boost in its mineral exports to mark solid performance despite U.S. pressures.

Tehran (ISNA) - Iran is now the permanent member of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Iranian deputy Transport Minister, Saieed Rasouli announced.

According to Rasouli, who is also the head of public relations department at Railways of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the membership, ratified during the 70th meeting of CIS in Helsinki, can reinforce Iran's railway transit ties with Middle-Asian counties and facilitate transit at International North-South Transport Corridor.

Tehran, May 18 (AFP/PTI) Iran's foreign minister Saturday discounted the prospect of a new war in the region because Tehran opposed it and no party was under the "illusion" the Islamic republic could be confronted.

Tensions between Washington and Tehran have been on the rise as the United States has deployed a carrier group and B-52 bombers over what it termed Iranian "threats".

TEHRAN, May 16 (Xinhua): The United States will fail to crush Iranian resistance by imposing maximum pressure, the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) was quoted as saying Thursday.

"This is the most decisive moment for the Islamic revolution, because the enemy has come to the battlefield with all of its capacities at its disposal," the Press TV quoted Major General Hossein Salami as saying during a meeting with IRGC officers on Wednesday.

TEHRAN, May 14 (Xinhua): Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday ruled out any talks with the U.S. government over the disputed issues, Tasnim news agency reported.

The U.S. wants Iran to negotiate over its "defensive weapon" and to reduce the range of its missiles, while urging Iran to talk over its regional strategy, the Iranian leader was quoted as saying.

"Therefore, the talks (over theses issues) are basically wrong," Khamenei said, stressing that holding "talks with Washington, particularly with the current U.S. government, is poisonous."
