NEW DELHI, Jun 24 (NNN-PTI) – Over 17,000 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours in India, taking the total tally to 43,362,294, according to the data released by the health ministry today.
Besides, as many as 13 COVID-19-related deaths were reported in the country since yesterday morning, bringing the total death toll to 524,954.
The daily positivity rate stood at 4.32 percent, while the weekly positivity rate had been 3.07 percent, according to the federal health ministry.
Presently, there are still 88,284 active COVID-19 cases in the country with an increase of 4,294 active cases during the past 24 hours.
So far, 42,749,056 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals, of whom 13,029 were discharged during the past 24 hours.
