Bareilly (UP), Aug 28 (PTI) A minor girl was allegedly raped by a 15-year-old boy at a village here, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday, they said.
The boy took the five-year-old girl to a secluded place after luring her with a toffee and raped her, police said.
Hearing the screams, villagers reached the spot, caught the accused and handed him over to the police, officials said.
The police have detained the accused and arrested his father, they added.
Additional SP, City, Rahul Bhati an FIR has been lodged under the relevant sections of IPC against the accused.
The victim is mentally-challenged and when her family members reached the house of the accused, the latter's father misbehaved with them and threatened them of dire consequences, Inspector, Cantt, Rajiv Kumar said.
