Kanpur: In order to provide speed to the trains diverting towards Mumbai, the Northern Central Railways has decided to move forward in the direction of erecting elevated track following the apex court's order.
Dwelling upon the court's direction the DRM Amitabh Kimar, Prayagraj Division, said that the illegal mud huts would be removed along the railway track in Kanpur Section. The assistance of district administration will also be taken in this drive.
He added that this would help start of the proposed elevated track project. Thus the passengers of Kanpur-Mumbai route will be served.
As many as 1500 illegal settlements from Dadanagar to Govindpuri station will be cleared.
