RAMALLAH, Mar 2 (NNN-WAFA) – A Palestinian man died of wounds, sustained during an Israeli army raid on a refugee camp, near the West Bank town of Jericho, yesterday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The Palestinian liaison office of security coordination with Israel, informed the ministry that, Jamal Hamdan, 22, died hours after he was shot by Israeli soldiers, in the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, the ministry said in a press statement.

2 Mar 2023; MEMO: A senior member of the Hamas Political Bureau has described the security summit held in Aqaba on Sunday as "the worst sin committed by Arab states at this stage," Watan Voice has reported. A joint communique issued by participants at the summit said that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan hosted Jordanian, Egyptian, Israeli, Palestinian and US senior officials on 26 February for "comprehensive and frank discussions" to work towards a "just and lasting peace".

2 Mar 2023; MEMO: The Israeli occupation authorities seized the bank accounts of freed Palestinian prisoners on Wednesday and confiscated their property, Sama has reported.

According to reports, the bank account of freed prisoner Mohammad Dirbas from Jerusalem was seized and both his money and car were confiscated.

Freed prisoner Ayoub Afanah, also from Jerusalem, had all of his money taken from his bank account.

RAMALLAH, Mar 1 (NNN-WAFA) – A senior U.S. official, yesterday visited the Palestinian village of Hawara, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and condemned the recent violence by Israeli settlers.

During a short visit to the village, Hady Amr, the U.S. special representative for Palestinian affairs, in the State Department’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, met with representatives of civil institutions and the municipal council.

28 Feb 2023; MEMO: Sameh Aktash, a Palestinian who recently helped victims of the 6 February quakes in Turkiye, faced his fate on returning to his country — getting killed by Israeli gunfire in the Occupied West Bank.

Aktash, 37, whose family says he "loved life and helped others in his hometown and in Turkiye, which he adored", was shot in the abdomen.

28 Feb 2023; MEMO: Israeli municipal authorities demolished a Palestinian-owned home in Occupied East Jerusalem on Tuesday, according to family members, Anadolu News Agency reports.

Hani Al-Hussaini said Israeli authorities cited lack of a building permit for bringing down the house in Jabel Mukaber neighbourhood, south of East Jerusalem.

"The building was constructed about six years ago and was inhabited by a 4-member family," he told Anadolu.

RAMALLAH, Feb 28 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, yesterday condemned an Israeli committee’s vote, to advance a death penalty law for Palestinians carrying out deadly attacks against Israeli citizens.

“This law is fascist and criminal, and will not discourage us from continuing to demand our right, freedom, and dignity, to live in an independent, sovereign, contiguous, viable state, with Jerusalem as its capital,” Ishtaye said at the weekly meeting of the Palestinian Authority cabinet.

27 Feb 2023; MEMO: Palestinian group, Fatah, warned Monday that Israeli statements risk leading the region into explosion, Anadolu News Agency reports.

"The dangerous escalation of Israeli government ministers on the Palestinian file will harm stability and security in the region," Fatah spokesman, Hussein Hamayel, told Anadolu.

"We warn the world that these killers can only lead the region into more destruction," he added.
