MUMBAI, India, Aug 19 (NNN-PTI) – Thirteen people died and 20 others were injured, when a container trailer collided with a state transport bus, at Nimgul, in India’s western state of Maharashtra, 391 km from Mumbai, at 10:30 p.m. local time Sunday night, police official said.
The injured have been admitted to hospital, with 11 of them in critical condition.
The drivers of both vehicles died in the accident, as the collision was head-on, said the local police official.
The bus, with 45 passengers, was going to Aurangabad from Shahada town, in the state of Maharashtra.
The police registered the case as accidental deaths, and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
