Kanpur: A supervisor hanged himself to death at Kahoo Kothi area here. The neighbours informed the police on stench emanating from his apartment. When the police opened the door the sight was astonishing for all.
A report of his missing was registered on Saturday night. On Sunday morning he was found hanging.
He had been living in the flat with his wife Durga. He had been working as a supervisor for the past six years in the under-construction apartment of a company at Kahoo Kothi.
A resident of village Kevai under Ghazipur PS in Fatehpur district, 28-year-old Jeetendra had married with Durga eight months ago.
The company's director told that he quarrelled with his wife on a certain matter on August 30 afternoon. He left the house to return after a while but didn't come back. This caused the wife some worry and she informed the relatives in Fatehpur.
Realising the depth of trouble his father and brother arrived in the night and started enquiring of his whereabouts. When they failed to find him they registered a report at the police station on Saturday night. Afterwards, they left for Fatehpur along with his wife. Later the people informed the police of the stench coming out of the flat.The police came and saw the situation. Jeetendra was hanging and dead. Sooner the relatives were informed of his death.
Further action will be initiated following a post-mortem report, said Collectorganj PS inspector BS Bhati.
