A witness for Sohrabuddin fake encounter case has made a statement to the court that Director General of Police Vanjara ordered Ex Home Minister’s Haren Pandya’s murder
Witness said that Sohrabuddin told him about receiving money to kill Pandya.
Witness was arrested in 2005 by Rajsthan Police, and was kept in Udaipur jail, where he met Prajapati, who told him that Gujarat police killed Sohrabuddin and his wife in a fake encounter.
Prajapati too was killed by police in another fake encounter later on.
According to Punjab Kesary, 38 people charged by CBI for the fake encounter of Shahabuddin, his wife and Prajapati included BJP President Amit Shah, DGP Vanjara, and senior officers of Gujarat and Rajsthan police.
Further court hearing has been postponed until next week.
