Kanpur: In continuation of its money-saving campaign the Nagar Nigam prepares itself to bring in use the rooftop solar energy plant. A solar panel with a capacity of 100 KW will be installed on the top of its office.
Throwing light on this step, Akshay Tripathi, Nagar Ayukt, KMC, expressed that it was expected to begin the solar panelling work in this ongoing month.
In the meantime, the UPNEDA has received a budget of Rs 42 Lakh for this very purpose.
The Nagar Nigam want to save money on electricity bills and this use of solar energy would be helpful in that direction, as several realise after State Government's directive to its offices to utilize the solar energy in order to lower expenses.
