DAMASCUS, Jan 27 (NNN-SANA) – Pro-government fighters found a mass grave with nine bodies, in Syria’s eastern province of Deir al-Zour yesterday, a war monitor reported.
The nine bodies belong to the Daesh militants, who were killed during battles with the Syrian government forces years ago, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
In Oct, 2020, a Syrian tribe uncovered a mass grave with bodies of 26 people killed by the Daesh militants in Deir al-Zour, in 2014.
The Daesh has lost key areas across Syria, but is still present in the desert region, stretching from the countryside of Deir al-Zour to the central province of Homs.
