01 May 2021; MEMO: Israeli occupation authorities have started building 164 new settlement units in the Neve Daniel settlement built on Palestinian lands in the West Bank city of Bethlehem, Al-Ayyam newspaper reported on Friday.
At the same time, the Israeli occupation settlers cut the water pipe in the town of Qaryout, south of Nablus, and assaulted a Palestinian shepherd in Jenin.
On Thursday, the Israeli occupation authorities evicted Palestinian families from the village of Humsa Al-Fouqa in the occupied Jordan Valley, under the pretext that the Israeli army is to carry out military drills using live ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities have approved building 60 new settlement units in the settlement of Ebi Hanahal, which is being built on Palestinian land in Bethlehem.
Regarding the eviction of Humsa Al-Fouqa, activist Aref Daraghmeh has warned that such measures precede the total displacement of residents: "However, this village was demolished for the sixth time during the last six months."
Israeli occupation forces also carried out military drills with live munition in several areas across the north of the Jordan Valley.
A Palestinian shepherd, Ibrahim Hamdounis, 66, was severely beaten by extremist Israeli settlers west of Jenin.
