19 May 2021; MEMO: For the first time in 16 years, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, affiliated with the Palestinian Fatah movement, organised a march in occupied Ramallah on Monday, denouncing Israel's ongoing aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.
The brigades walked through the streets of Ramallah firing bullets into the air and came under attack from Israeli occupation forces near the Qalandia checkpoint, leading occupation forces to close the checkpoint.
Members of the military wing said the battalions who had been long absent, have finally been re-activated.
A few days ago, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades called on its fighters to stand by the Palestinian people in the occupied city of Jerusalem, the besieged Gaza Strip, the occupied West Bank and inside Israel, threatening extremist settlers that they will not enjoy security and safety on the land of Palestine.
Fatah yesterday took part in a general strike across all of historic Palestinian in solidarity with Gaza, and in protest of the Israeli aggression in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza; Israeli air strikes on the besieged enclave have killed 212 Palestinians, including 61 children and 36 women, and wounded more than 1,400 others. Meanwhile, in the West Bank, the Israeli army has killed 23 Palestinians and wounded hundreds more. Twelve Israelis have also been killed.
