Kanpur: A couple committed suicide by jumping before a moving train over a trivial dispute in the district.
According to the reports, Raj Kishore and his wife Anjana were employed in a private company. They used to travel together by train on their convenience from Mandhana station under Chaubeypur police circle here.
The reports further said that Anjana went to attend a friend's birthday party and reached the railway station late in the evening.
This made Raj Kishore enraged who in a huff reprimanded her badly.
The couple fought in full public view and as the train approached, both flung themselves on the railway track.
Both the persons died on the spot.
When they did not return home till late in the night, their three daughters and one son began to sense some suspicion and in a tensed mind set out to look for the parents but what learnt about them later was tragic.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
