23 Sep 2022; MEMO: The wife of journalist, Jamal Khashoggi who was assassinated by Saudi intelligence, is planning to sue the notorious Israeli spyware developed by the NSO Group.

Hanan Elatr, 52, also intends to sue Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for their alleged involvement in installing the Israeli company's Pegasus software on her mobile phone, The Guardian reported yesterday.

24 Sep 2022; MEMO: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi warned against the UK moving its embassy to the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Late on Thursday, in response to journalists' questions regarding the announcement by British Prime Minister Liz Truss's office that it was considering moving the location of its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, Safadi announced: "No official decision has been issued yet in this regard."

23 Sep 2022; MEMO: The Israeli Supreme Court approved on Thursday the appeal filed by the defence committee for Palestinian citizen of Israel, Sheikh Yousef Al-Baz, 64, from the city of Lod and ordered to place him under restrictive conditions.

The Supreme Court returned Al-Baz's case file to the Israeli District Court in Lod to determine the conditions for his release by electronic registration.

On 10 August, the Lod District Court extended Sheikh Al-Baz's detention until the completion of judicial procedures against him.

23 Sep 2022; MEMO: Riadh Chaibi, the adviser to the president of Ennahda Movement and a leader in the opposition National Salvation Front said that the movement is innocent of the "dispatch" case, noting that the purpose of raising this case is an attempt to defame the movement. He also confirmed that Tunisia is on the brink of a "social explosion" that could topple the existing authority and cause widespread turmoil in the country.

21 Sep 2022; MEMO: Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank have apparently formed a militia to carry out night operations against the Palestinians, the official Kan broadcaster has reported. The so-called "Civil Guard", it is claimed, will help the Israel occupation army.

Settlers launched a night patrol on Route 60 on Monday night. The road passes through the Palestinian town of Hawara, south of Nablus.

21 Sep 2022; MEMO: Iran's hard-line President struck a defiant tone on Wednesday by demanding guarantees the United States not abandon any revived nuclear deal and by decrying "double standards" on human rights after the death of an Iranian woman in police custody, Reuters reports.

Israel's "savage power" and its "savagery is not ending", Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi told the UN General Assembly yesterday.

"The region has not seen an occupying savage power such as the Zionist regime in its midst in the past," Raisi said.

He explained: "The killing of children and women are present in the dark report card of the Zionist regime. It has managed to form the biggest prison in the world in Gaza and the expansion of settlements and housing illegally on Palestinian territories."

20 Sep 2022; MEMO: The Israeli occupation forces yesterday detained the Director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, reported Wafa news agency.

According to local witnesses, the soldiers raided his home, based in Al-Tur neighbourhood in East Jerusalem, before taking him into custody.

The Israeli soldiers confiscated a computer and a number of documents during the raid, without stating any reason for his arrest.

20 Sep 2022; MEMO: Palestinian students in occupied East Jerusalem launched a full-day strike from school yesterday to protest the forceful imposition of the Israeli curriculum in their schools by the Israeli occupation's Ministry of Education.

The strike was called for by the Parents' Committee Union in a joint press release on Sunday and supported by all Palestinian factions and civil society organisations who are calling on international institutions to step in and protect Palestinian education.
