5.5-magnitude quake hits Mexico -- USGS

BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 77 km southwest of La Esperanza, Mexico at 0413 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 39.04 km, was initially determined to be at 14.8773 degrees north latitude and 93.5811 degrees west longitude.
