Trump projected to take Ohio in presidential race: U.S. media

WASHINGTON, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was projected to have taken Ohio, one of the "battleground states" in the 2020 presidential race with 18 electoral votes, U.S. media reported early Wednesday.

With 94 percent reporting, Trump has won 50.1 percent of the votes, while his Democratic challenger, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, has grabbed 48.7 percent, according to Fox News.

NBC News and CNN also called the "Buckeye State" for the Republican.
