Kanpur: Two people were arrested for firing shots during a dispute. A youth was injured in Bania Purwa in the Nawabganj police station area here.
The injured youth was admitted to Hallet emergency hospital for necessary treatment.
The brother of the injured who reached the hospital after knowing about the incident, said that his brother went out to meet his friends.
He was confronted by some people and had a scuffle after which he was shot by them.
He alleged the role of a few lawyers, namely Guddu Diwakar, Amit Diwakar and Puneet Diwakar and their uncle Kishori in this incident.
"2-3 months back the victim had a fight with these people and he was sure they were the ones involved in this act," he said.
ACP, Swaroop Nagar, who reached the hospital, said, "The victim was at a food joint near Ganga Barrage area where he got involved in a fight with a few people.
On getting the information about gunshots being fired, police officials reached the spot and rushed the injured to a hospital where he is reported to be undergoing treatment."
Two people have been nabbed and the search for the other accused is going on.
