India: In a hurry youth lost life at Dada Nagar railways crossing

Kanpur: A heart-wrenching accident took place today morning at the Dada Nagar crossing here.

In an attempt to drag the bike from under the closed gate, the youth got hit by the train. He died on the spot.

The accident was so terrible that the bike got blown up. The body of the young man was also mutilated.

The GRP informed the relatives after identifying the documents found in the pocket of the deceased and on the mobile.

It was due to this accident a line of Dada Nagar railway crossing remained affected for about an hour, as reported.

Akhilesh Awasthi (42) son of Ram Bharosa, a resident of New Azad Nagar of the Kalyanpur police station area, was reportedly going to the office.

Investigation of the GRP present on the spot and interrogation of the relatives revealed that the Dada Nagar railway crossing of Govind Nagar was closed.

Due to being late, Akhilesh tried to take out the bike from under the gate.

In the meantime, he came under the grip of a super-fast train approaching fast on the railway track.

The train was at such a high speed that the bike got blown up and fell about a hundred meters away.

Father Ram Bharosa reached the spot and identified the dead body. Instead of waiting for the train to pass at the crossing, it was risky to drag the bike from under the gate.

GRP station in charge RK Dwivedi said that even after the gate was closed at the Dada Nagar railway crossing, the youth, who was crossing the railway crossing after taking out the bike from below, was hit by the train and died. After identification of the body, it has been sent for post-mortem.
