MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied on Wednesday media reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allegedly handed over to President Vladimir Putin some plan regarding the resolution of the ongoing conflict in Syria.
"I cannot confirm this information," Peskov said. "In this case details must be apparently clarified to establish what plan we are talking about here and what [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu meant when he spoke about it."
The presidential spokesman also told journalists that the Israeli side did not hand over to Moscow documents of this kind during Netanyahu’s official visit to Russia in February.
Times of Israel daily reported earlier citing its unnamed high-ranking source that the plan on the Syrian conflict settlement was handed over to US President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin. The daily reported that Putin expressed great interest regarding this plan, which, according to the daily, stipulated the withdrawal of the Iranian forces from Syria.
The unnamed source, quoted by the Times of Israel, also said it was possible that this issue could be discussed soon at a trilateral meeting of the Israeli, US and Russian leaders.
