Russia ready for talks with Turkey on Su-35, Su-57 fighters

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/: Russia is ready for holding negotiations with Turkey on the possible delivery of Su-35 and Su-57 fighter aircraft, if it receives the corresponding request, Spokesperson for Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Valeria Reshetnikova said on Friday.

Russia: Kremlin concerned about events in Myanmar, analyzes the situation carefully

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/: Moscow is keeping a close eye on developments in Myanmar and is analyzing the situation, including from the viewpoint of the continuation of military-technical cooperation, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"We evaluate the situation as alarming, and we are concerned about the information about the growing number of civilian casualties coming from there. That gives us concern. We are keeping a close eye on what is going on there," he stressed.

US plans major smear campaign against Russian anti-Covid products, Kremlin source says

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/: The US and its allies plan a large-scale smear campaign aimed at discrediting Russian anti-Covid products amid rising demand for the Sputnik V vaccine, a high-level Kremlin source told TASS Friday.

"According to our intelligence agencies, the US and its allies intend to arrange a large-scale disinformation campaign, aimed at fueling a biased attitude against our scientific innovations in fighting the spread of coronavirus infections as demand grows for the Russian Sputnik V vaccine across the world, including in European countries," the source said.

Armenia to hold military drills from March 16-20-RIA cites defence ministry

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Armenia’s defence ministry on Friday said military exercises involving 7,500 troops would be held in Armenia on March 16-20, the RIA news agency reported.

The ministry said the goal of the exercise was, among other things, to test the combat readiness of troops.

YEKATERINBURG, March 11. /TASS/: The crews of the latest ‘Terminator’ tank support combat vehicles and upgraded T-72B3M main battle tanks practiced inter-operability at a proving ground near Chelyabinsk, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.

The exercise was held as part of an experiment to learn to operate the latest ‘Terminator’ tank support combat vehicles in combat formations of the Central Military District’s Guards armored division, the press office specified.

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/: Two Tu-95MS strategic missile-carrying bombers made a scheduled flight over the Sea of Japan and the northwestern Pacific Ocean, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Thursday.

"Two Tu-95MS strategic missile-carrying bombers of long-range aviation performed a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Sea of Japan and the northwestern Pacific Ocean. The crews of Su-35S fighters of Russia’s Aerospace Force escorted the bombers," the ministry said in a statement.

Russia reports 9,270 new COVID-19 cases in past day

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/: Russia’s COVID-19 cases rose by 9,270 in the past day, reaching 4,360,823, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Thursday.

In relative terms, the growth rate reached 0.21%.

The lowest growth rates were registered in the past day in the Tuva Republic (0.04%), the Sakhalin Region (0.05%), the Magadan Region, the Republic of Adygeya (0.06%).
