Goal of reviving Iran nuclear deal by July 15 not achievable, Russian envoy says

VIENNA, July 5. /TASS/: Russia’s Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov has noted that the expectations to restore the Iran nuclear deal by July 15 are unrealistic.

"The break in the Vienna talks on restoring the JCPOA has lasted longer than expected. It is obvious that Iran, given the recent presidential election, needs more time for preparations. The expectations to complete the process by the sixth anniversary of the nuclear deal (July 15) are unrealistic," he wrote on Twitter.

Iran restricts IAEA access to main enrichment plant after attack -diplomats

PARIS/VIENNA, July 1 (Reuters) - Iran has been restricting U.N. nuclear inspectors' access to its main uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, citing security concerns after what it says was an attack on the site by Israel in April, diplomats say.

The standoff, which one official said has been going on for weeks, is in the course of being resolved, diplomats said, but it has also raised tensions with the West just as indirect talks between Iran and the United States on reviving the Iran nuclear deal have adjourned without a date set for their resumption.

Russia expects US to show transparency in troop pullout from Ukraine drills

VIENNA, June 28. /TASS/: Russia hopes that the United States will display transparency in pulling out armaments after the Sea Breeze 2021 exercise in the Black Sea, the Russian delegation at Vienna talks on military security and arms control said on its Twitter on Monday.

"We hope that following the drills the United States will demonstrate transparency in pulling out modern armaments, ammunition and materiel from Ukraine to ensure that they do not fall into the hands of military and nationalist formations in Donbass," the statement reads.

Iran talks show positive signal, say officials

VIENNA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Talks on restoring the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, or the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), showed positive signal of finalizing the agreement and finding solutions to the Iranian nuclear issue, officials said on Sunday.

During a meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission wrapped up on Sunday, representatives from China, France, Germany, Russia, Britain and Iran agreed on many important issues concerning the revival of the JCPOA.

Diplomats to meet in Vienna for more Iran nuclear talks

VIENNA (AP) — Further talks between Iran and global powers were planned Sunday to try to negotiate and restore a landmark 2015 agreement to contain Iranian nuclear development that was later abandoned by the Trump administration.
